Senior Pastor Jeremy Wanton: Inspiring Faith and Growth

Senior Pastor Jeremy Wanton is a dedicated spiritual leader committed to guiding our church in faith, love, and service. With a heart for God and a passion for teaching His Word, Senior Pastor Jeremy inspires and equips our congregation to grow spiritually and deepen their relationship with Christ. Through biblical preaching, compassionate leadership, and a vision for discipleship, he fosters a strong, faith-filled community where everyone is encouraged to live out their faith and share God’s love with others.

The practice of tithing originated in the Old Testament under Judaism and has been a long-standing tradition in the church for many centuries. However, Paul established a principle in the New Testament church that seems to align better with the churches he founded. This principle can be applied when considering making a financial contribution to Union Grove Baptist Church.

In 2 Corinthians 9: 6 – 8, Paul writes that those who sow sparingly will also reap sparingly, while those who sow bountifully will reap bountifully. He also emphasizes the importance of giving from the heart, without reluctance or compulsion, as God loves a cheerful giver.
